Where things stand: roster now, test games this fall and winter, launch spring 2027
The site, the signup forms, and the parent approval flow are live. We are building the roster of helpers and coaches now. This fall and winter we will run a small number of test games by invitation. Full launch is spring 2027. If you sign up and hear nothing for a while, that is expected. We only email when there is something real.
Pricing, stated plainly: coaches pay no matching fee during the Tampa beta. Coaches pay helpers directly after the game. Offers start at $20 for the first hour and $15 for each additional hour, so a two-hour offer starts at $35, and helpers keep all of it.
Earlier posts below are kept as written. Where they say "we match you" in the present tense, read that as the plan for test games and the spring 2027 launch.

GameDay Helpers Opens for Fall Ball
GameDay Helpers is open for fall ball in Tampa Bay. Free for coaches during the beta. Helpers who know GameChanger can create a profile free. We make each match by hand, based on local availability.
Coaches pay helpers directly after the game, app to app, and helpers keep 100%. GameDay Helpers charges coaches nothing during the Tampa beta.
The first 50 helpers and first 50 coaches get a permanent Founding badge. Once those spots are gone, they are gone.

GameDay Helpers Is Coming to Tampa Bay
Every youth coach knows the moment. It's first pitch, the parents are settling into their chairs, and you still need someone to run GameChanger. So you scan the bleachers and start asking. Again.
GameDay Helpers exists to end that scramble. We connect Tampa Bay coaches with local helpers who know GameChanger and keep score, run GameChanger, work the scoreboard, and run the livestream, so coaches can coach and parents can actually watch their kid play.
We're launching in Tampa's District 6 little leagues, from Bayshore to West Tampa, starting fall 2026. Right now we're signing up our founding helpers and coaches. If that's you, get in early.

Get Paid to Do Something You Already Know
If you can keep score and already know GameChanger, you can apply to be a helper. Helpers must be 14 or older, with parent or guardian approval if under 18.
The deal is simple: you pick the little leagues you'll travel to, we match you to games there, you show up and keep score, and the coach pays you directly. You set your availability, and there's no commitment until you claim a game.
You need to already know GameChanger. If you can run a full game in the app and keep a clean book, you're qualified. Matches depend on local demand and helper availability.

Free for Coaches During Our Tampa Beta
We're keeping it dead simple while we build the Tampa network: there's no matching fee for coaches right now. You sign up, we match you with a local helper who knows GameChanger, and the match itself costs you nothing.
The only money that changes hands is the game pay you send your helper directly after the game, like you'd pay a babysitter. That game pay never touches us, so every dollar reaches the person doing the work. We just make the match.
Down the road, once coaches rely on us to line up reliable help, we'll introduce a simple access fee. But during the beta, coaches get the whole thing free while we prove it out in Tampa.

Why We Don't Touch the Money
We made a deliberate choice early on: GameDay Helpers does not sit in the middle of the payment between a coach and a helper. The coach pays the helper directly, every time.
Why? Two reasons. First, it keeps every dollar of game pay going to the helper instead of getting skimmed. Second, it keeps the whole thing simple and trustworthy, especially since some of our helpers are teenagers. We broker the match, not the money.
The real value we provide is the part that eats a coach's time: helping them find local scorekeepers who know GameChanger. During our Tampa beta that's free for coaches. The game pay stays between the coach and the helper, exactly where it should be.
