Welcome to GameDay Helpers. By creating a profile, requesting a helper, or otherwise using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What GameDay Helpers does
GameDay Helpers connects youth sports coaches and teams ("coaches") with people willing to keep score, run GameChanger, work a scoreboard, or run a livestream at games ("helpers"). We introduce and match coaches and helpers. We are an introduction and matching service only.
2. We are not the employer
Helpers are not employees of GameDay Helpers. Helpers are independent individuals who provide services directly to coaches and teams. GameDay Helpers does not employ, supervise, direct, or control helpers, and is not responsible for their conduct, performance, or the work they do at any game.
3. Payment between coach and helper
Coaches pay helpers directly for their work at each game. GameDay Helpers does not collect, hold, process, or distribute that game pay. The rate is agreed between the coach and the helper. Any matching or access fee GameDay Helpers may charge coaches in the future (there is none during the Tampa beta) is separate from, and unrelated to, the pay a coach gives a helper.
4. Helper eligibility and honesty
To sign up as a helper you confirm that:
- You are at least 14 years old.
- You have a working smartphone and can run the GameChanger app.
- Everything you provide, including your experience and skill level, is truthful and accurate.
- You will conduct yourself appropriately and lawfully around minors and at youth sporting events.
5. Helpers under 18
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before you may work any game. By providing a parent or guardian's contact information, you confirm you have their permission to do so. A helper under 18 is not active and will not be matched to games until that parent or guardian has confirmed their consent.
When a helper under 18 is matched, the parent or guardian receives the same match email as the coach and helper. Coaches agree to two rules with helpers under 18: (1) group texts only, with the parent or guardian included on every thread, never one-on-one messages; and (2) coaches never drive a helper to or from a game. Breaking either rule removes the coach from GameDay Helpers.
6. Our review is limited
We review helpers before matching them, but our review is limited and does not guarantee any helper's identity, background, character, reliability, or fitness. Coaches and parents are responsible for their own judgment and supervision. GameDay Helpers makes no warranty about any helper or coach.
7. Conduct
You agree not to misuse the service, misrepresent yourself, harass others, or use GameDay Helpers for any unlawful purpose. We may remove anyone from the service at any time, for any reason.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, GameDay Helpers is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, dispute, or harm arising from any introduction, match, game, payment, or interaction between coaches and helpers. You use the service at your own risk.
9. Privacy
We collect the information you provide to operate the service. We use it to match coaches and helpers and to contact you about the service. We do not sell your information or share it outside GameDay Helpers except as needed to make a match or as required by law.
10. Changes
We are in beta and these terms may change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
